Important Safety Resources for all Parents
Fisher Price recently recalled over 2 million infant swings sold across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico due to safety concerns. These popular baby items, which often feature on baby registries, have been linked to an increased risk of suffocation for infants. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case; many baby products we rely on, from formula to toys and clothing, have been subject to recalls in the past.
If you haven’t already, sign up for federal recall notifications to ensure you stay updated on products that may pose risks in your home. Visit Recalls.gov to register for email alerts from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Food & Drug Administration, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Each agency’s website also has an archive of past recalls, which is especially helpful if you've received hand-me-downs or purchased secondhand items.
Safe Kids Worldwide is another excellent resource for parents. It’s full of critical information that can help us keep our kids safe and prevent injuries.
